Just in time, Old Man Marley intervened and saved him, and shortly later, Harry and Marv were arrested. The next morning, as the family prepared in haste to leave, Kevin was still sleeping. During a headcount, his cousin Heather mistook the McCallisters' neighbor's son and Kevin's friend Mitch Murphy, for Kevin. The family, in a rush, hurried off to the airport, unaware that Kevin was not with them.
At a school pageant, during Kevin's solo, his older brother Buzz pranks him; Kevin retaliates by pushing him, which causes the entire choir to fall and ruins the pageant. When Marv pulls the front door knob and the knob comes loose with several feet of string attached to it. He pulls it tightly with his back against the door and we hear the first staple shot. It's impossible for Marv to do a 180-degree turn and not hear the second shot. Marv kicks the front door open and falls down the giant hole. On the stairs where Marv and Harry fooled Kevin into thinking that they got hit by the paint cans, the front door is closed.
A few years later, Kevin, who had seemingly become less violent and more peaceful, had the McCallister home to himself over Christmas, with his only companion being the Google Assistant. Kevin McCallister was a young boy who was mistakenly separated from his family twice and forced to defend himself against bumbling burglars Marv and Harry. After the movie became a box office hit, Tiger Electronics created and distributed a real version of the Talkboy, (along with its pink-and-purple counterpart, the Talkgirl). The airport scenes were exponentially more difficult to shoot than the first movie. Upon arrival, he decides to tour the city, but becomes frightened by a homeless woman tending to pigeons in Central Park. He uses Peter's credit card to check in at the Plaza Hotel, not knowing that the Wet Bandits have also reached the city after escaping from prison. When confronted by the family “who plans to go on their Christmas break in a tropical climate” he refuses to apologize and storms up to the third floor attic wishing that he could go on a vacation by alone.
Kevin noticing the police officer having a gold tooth. He is very intelligent and cunning for his age. He is able to devise a whole array of booby traps in order to foil the Wet/Sticky Bandits. He is wise for his age, giving advice to Marley and the Pigeon Lady.
One more relatable trait Kevin has is having awesome people skills when interacting with different people from different backgrounds. After this incident he finds peace with her and finds out about her rough past. At the end of the movie they become forever friends when Kevin gives her turtle doves which represent everlasting friendship. Like some of us curiosity really gives us look into different societies and groups. Following advice from the Pigeon Lady, who he then realized how her life had fallen apart and how she dealt with it by taking care of the pigeons in the park, Kevin vowed to her that he would be her friend.
Many of the actors who played members of the extended McCallister cousins reprise their earlier roles from Kevin - Allein zu Haus with a few notable exceptions. Angela Goethals played Linnie "You're what the French call 'les incompetents'" McCallister, one of Kevin's older sisters, in the original movie, but was replaced in the sequel by actress Maureen Elisabeth Shay. Kristin Minter, who played Kevin's oldest cousin Heather, is not in the sequel at all. The turtle doves were created for the movie by John Perry, known for his sculptures of sea life.
For example when the scary “Bird Lady” helps pulls his foot loose, he is not expecting for it to happen like that. Kevin gets a “Atypical Message” because he is expecting a completely different situation to take place. In reality, the flight attendant wouldn't have let a minor on the plane with someone they don't know very well as they would have to suggest waiting for his parents to get him. Therefore, he wouldn't have been able to travel to New York. Both Kevin's plane and the plane his family are on seem to take off within seconds of each other. There is no way that that would have been allowed to happen. And no matter where a plane is headed all planes take off in the same direction. A qualified police officer wouldn't ignore the fact that parents are treating the incident as a laughing matter.
